Kenilworth Citizens Advisory Committee

Welcome to the Kenilworth Citizens' Advisory Committee website!

For sixty-nine years the Kenilworth Citizens’ Advisory Committee has been serving our community by acting as a non-partisan group to suggest candidates to fill the offices of the public boards of our village.  Included with this letter you will find a more complete description of our mission and procedures as well as a tentative calendar for the 2008-2010 term of the Advisory Committee. All meetings are open to the public and you are welcome to attend. The First meeting of the 2008-2010 term is Sunday October 5th, at 4:00 pm at the Kenilworth Assembly Hall.

Subcommittees of the Advisory Committee will soon be interviewing potential candidates for public office. Included with this mailing is a description of the responsibilities for each of the village boards. Enclosed is a candidate selection application which needs to be completed and returned before an interview can be scheduled.

We would like to thank all who have so generously contributed their time to the Kenilworth Citizens’ Advisory Committee over the many years of its existence and encourage your participation in the process that has served our village so well.  Please refer to our website, http://kenilworthcitizensadvisorycommittee.org for meeting notices and agendas, the articles of organization, member and representative responsibilities, petitions for candidates-at-large, candidate applications and other information.

Another recommendation of the commission for improving communication is to organize an "all village" meeting in January, where you will have an opportunity to meet the suggested candidates as well as hear presentations from the presidents of the various public boards of the village. Information regarding this meeting will be posted in December.
