KCAC 2008-10 Calendar

January 12, 2009 Annual Meeting

The second meeting of the 2008-2010 term of the KCAC is scheduled for Monday January 12, 2009 at 7:00 PM at the Kenilworth Assembly Hall.  At 6:30 PM prior to the business meeting, there will be an informal reception to meet the candidates for the various board positions.  This will give you an opportunity to put a face with an application and to ask questions about a candidate’s interest in the position. 

If you are unable to attend this meeting, please arrange for an alternate to be present to represent your organization or geographic area.  This is very important as we need a quorum to conduct our business.

Explanation of voting procedures.

Subcommittees introduce Candidates for the open positions of School Board (three openings with four year terms, one opening with a two year term), Park Board (one opening), and Library Board (three openings). Nominations are accepted from the floor of additional Candidates who have submitted applications. Presentations by Candidates. Eligible delegates and representatives vote on the Candidates.

The Advisory Committee adjourns and a new political party is formed. The new party accepts recomendations from the Advisory Committee subcommittee for Candidates for open Village Government positions (three village trustee). Nominations are accepted from the floor of additional Candidates who have submitted applications. Presentations by Candidates. Eligible delegates and representatives vote on the Candidates.

January 26, 2009 All Village Meeting

You are invited to attend an “all village” meeting organized by the Kenilworth Citizens’Advisory Committee (“KCAC”) to be held at the Kenilworth Assembly Hall Monday, January 26th, at 7:00 p.m.  Presidents of the Library, Park, School, and Village Boards will give brief reports on the status of their organizations. Candidates to fill vacancies on the various boards will also be introduced.  The Presidents and candidates will be available for questions following the meeting.

The New Trier Caucus subcommittee and the Nominating Committee introduce Candidates for the New Trier Caucus and Advisory Committee officer positions. Nominations are accepted from the floor for additional Candidates who have submitted applications. Eligible delegates and representatives vote on the Candidates.
