Sunday, October 5, 2008 Organization Meeting 4:00 pm- Kenilworth Assembly Hall

Explanation of the Advisory Committee and committee responsibilities. Committee responsibilities include that each subcommittee is to propose to the Advisory Committee at least two qualified Candidates for a single vacancy on each Board. If there are two or more vacancies for a Board, then the subcommittee is to propose a number of Candidates equal to the number of vacancies plus two.

Presentation and vote regarding amendments to the Articles of Organization proposed by the Commission.

Random selection of delegates and representatives for subcommittee assignment.

November and December 2008

Subcommittees recruit candidates and conduct candidate interviews.

January 2009 Annual Meeting

Explanation of voting procedures.

Subcommittees introduce Candidates for the open positions of School Board (three openings with four year terms, one opening with a two year term), Park Board (one opening), and Library Board (three openings). Nominations are accepted from the floor of additional Candidates who have submitted applications. Presentations by Candidates. Eligible delegates and representatives vote on the Candidates.

The Advisory Committee adjourns and a new political party is formed. The new party accepts recommendations from the Advisory Committee subcommittee for Candidates for open Village Government positions (three village trustee). Nominations are accepted from the floor of additional Candidates who have submitted applications. Presentations by Candidates. Eligible delegates and representatives vote on the Candidates.

January 2009 All Village Meeting

Introduction of Candidates recommended for the April election.

Presentations from the Presidents of the four public village boards.

Following the meeting, Candidates and members of the various public boards will be available for questions.

April at the Kenilworth Assembly Hall:  2010 Final Meeting of the Term

Explanation of voting procedures.

The New Trier Caucus subcommittee and the Nominating Committee introduce Candidates for the New Trier Caucus and Advisory Committee officer positions. Nominations are accepted from the floor for additional Candidates who have submitted applications. Eligible delegates and representatives vote on the Candidates.
